{"id":217813,"date":"2021-11-10T08:57:43","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T08:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forexmentorpro.com\/blog\/?p=217813"},"modified":"2021-11-10T08:59:47","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T08:59:47","slug":"dont-believe-that-rumour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forexmentorpro.com\/blog\/dont-believe-that-rumour\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t Believe that Rumour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi, the old trading mantra of &#8220;buy the rumour, sell the news&#8221; was brilliantly proven this week with the Bank of Englands interest rate news.<\/p>\n<p>In the words of one of my favourite TV characters, Dr Greg House &#8220;Everybody lies&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-48310\" src=\"https:\/\/www.forexmentorpro.com\/members-area\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/everybody-lies-1024x640.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" title=\"\">A month ago the governor of the Bank of England spoke about the need to raise rates soon.<\/p>\n<p>Many analysts believed him and the Gbp was gaining strength this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Then the news came out, no rise.<\/p>\n<p>Then the best of it is Bailey said &#8220;MARKET PRICING FOR RATE HIKES WAS OVERDONE.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He was the one who started it! Then the best comment &#8221; rate decision &#8216;was a very close call&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The vote was seven to 2 against.
